Tyco launches Magento online shop

Tyco Integrated Fire & Security Switzerland offers a wide product and service portfolio covering all aspects of fire and security technology. Security systems, industrial lighting, entry indicators, and fire protection are some of the categories Tyco offers its customers. 

In order to expand its online business in Switzerland and Liechtenstein, the company replaced its old online shop with a new powerful e-commerce solution.

The new solution meets the following requirements:

• automated discount levels for a certain product and customer groups 
• declaring separate shipping costs for bulky goods 
• configurable products 
• multilingualism with the option to choose language independent of the browser 

We have had very good experiences with Magento, particularly when clients wanted to implement individual features. Extensions that accommodate these needs can be easily integrated into Magento. That is why we chose this versatile e-commerce solution to realize the new online shop for Tyco because we could connect our own extensions to it. The shop uses a secure SSL certificate. The backend is very intuitive and clear. After instructions by W4, Tyco's staff can enter, manage and delete products on their own.
