For over a century, Titoni has stood for precise Swiss watchmaking, timeless design, and a deep commitment to traditional values. As one of the last independent family-owned watchmakers in Switzerland, Titoni has always focused on quality and craftsmanship. To bring these values to life in the digital space and to meet increasing demands for usability, security, and international reach, Titoni initiated a complete relaunch of its digital platform. The focus was on a modern system architecture, a newly developed design, and a seamless integration of content and e-commerce that reflects the brand's identity in every detail.
The Challenge: Outdated Systems and Rising Expectations for Digital Brand Presence
The previous website was based on an older TYPO3 version (TYPO3 8) and had reached its technical and visual limits, despite ongoing extended support. Managing content had become time-consuming and error-prone, the frontend no longer aligned with modern design standards, and the user experience was no longer competitive on either desktop or mobile devices.
The existing shop solution also fell short of current e-commerce expectations. Essential functions were missing, such as flexible product presentation, clear sales dashboards, robust order management, pricing logic for catalogs and shopping carts, and a consistent mobile-first implementation. In an industry where trust, excellence, and a coherent brand image are critical, a thorough modernization was essential.
Together with W4, a new platform architecture was created that combines technological stability and aesthetic brand strength - based on flexible open source technologies. The aim was to create a future-proof system that seamlessly combines high-quality content, contemporary e-commerce and international scalability.
At the core of the solution is a hybrid setup using TYPO3 for content management and Magento for e-commerce, connected via the powerful middleware N8n.
To ensure smooth and efficient data flow, the integration with Titoni’s existing ERP system was implemented using N8n. This middleware accesses product information via the Magento API, while a custom TYPO3 connector ensures real-time synchronization of prices, availability, and product details. The result is a dynamic, accurate product catalog that reduces manual effort and minimizes errors—making content updates faster and improving the platform’s operational efficiency.
Parallel to the technical realignment, a completely new web design was created in close collaboration with Titoni, which presents the brand's values - precision, tradition and timeless elegance - in a contemporary way.
The new interface features a clear structure, a high-quality design and a user interface that works simply and intuitively - on all devices and in all language versions.
The focus was not only on a modern look, but above all on making Titoni's brand identity tangible and strengthening user confidence in a targeted manner.
To ensure a central point of contact and efficient support, W4 took over the entire hosting and platform management. Titoni thus benefits from a one-stop service, from the technical infrastructure to security and updates through to ongoing development. At the same time, this model enables a cost-efficient solution without additional interfaces.
With the relaunch, Titoni now presents itself online in a way that matches the brand’s core identity. The digital experience is premium, structured, and ready for international audiences.
