The Christmas season is something special. It stands for tradition, family, human togetherness and also in the communication with customers and business contacts, marketing managers think every year anew about how they can bring a bit more closeness, joy and appreciation into the communication.
We are pleased to have been able to support 8 companies at the end of the year in setting up an individual online Advent calendar for their customers or employees. With individual designs, we were able to create calendars with 24 doors each, behind which visitors could expect interesting, unexpected, chances to win, video messages and much more, day after day during Advent. The daily clicks conjured up entertaining information about the company, technologies, products, but also about supported charity projects. The addiction factor was high to come back the next day, curiously open the little door and find out what there is to read or win "today".
Whether as branding, for promotions, for lead generation, as an internal Christmas campaign for own employees or even as a newsletter promotion - the results of the marketing campaign "Online Advent Calendar" did not fall short of expectations.
As W4, we can say: Christmas spirit was already spreading through the offices in November. Christmas decorations were unpacked early, the Christmas Classics song list was put on endless loop and even the courageous reach into the cookie tin was indisputably legitimized.
Setting up, designing and partially texting the 192 little doors in the app in time certainly caused time pressure. Nevertheless, gamification projects like these, which we all tackle across teams, are wonderful projects for our customers.
